These Terms govern your use of While Reader, including the desktop application, related licensing services, update services, and official website.

1. License Grant

Subject to these Terms, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use While Reader for personal or otherwise authorized use. Ownership of the software and all related intellectual property remains with the publisher.

2. Paid Features and Device Limits

Paid licenses may include activation, device binding, and device-count limits. Trial certificates and paid licenses may expire, be revoked for abuse, or be limited to a specified number of devices.

3. User Content

You are responsible for the books, documents, websites, and other content that you import or access through While Reader. You must have the rights required to use that content. The publisher does not grant you rights to third-party books or websites.

4. Prohibited Conduct

  • Do not bypass activation, device limits, or payment controls.
  • Do not use While Reader to infringe copyright or violate local law.
  • Do not reverse engineer or redistribute the software except where the law expressly permits it.
  • Do not interfere with update, licensing, or payment infrastructure.

5. Third-Party Services

While Reader may rely on third-party services such as payment processors, app stores, update hosting, or email providers. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

6. Updates

Direct-download versions of While Reader may offer in-app update checks and installer downloads. Store-distributed versions may instead be updated by the store or distribution platform.

7. Disclaimer

While Reader is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the publisher disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the publisher will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including loss of data, profits, or business interruption arising from your use of While Reader.

9. Termination

These Terms remain effective until terminated. Your rights under these Terms end automatically if you materially violate them. Upon termination, you must stop using the software.

If While Reader is acquired through an app store, the store operator may impose additional platform terms, refund rules, or update rules that supplement these Terms.
